Directions to Edwards

The red star on the New York State map locates Edwards in the northern part of the state. Edwards is a little less than an hour northeast of Watertown. A more detailed map of the town of Edwards is located on the town of Edwards web site.

From Canton and points north ... Take Park Street east out of Canton (the corner by the Post Office and movie theatre) past the St. Lawrence University campus. At the first intersection outside of the village (a 4 way stop), take a right. Follow this to the hamlet of Russell. At the intersection in Russell, turn left and follow this road to Edwards. The town hall opera house is on your right in the downtown section.

From Ogdensburg and points west ... take NYS Route 812 out of Ogdensburg. At the junction with NYS Route 11 take a right toward Gouverneur. In the village of Gouverneur, turn left at the intersection of NYS Route 58. After you enter the town of Edwards, signs will indicate that Edwards and Russell are to the left. Take this left and you will enter the village. After you pass a gas station and cross a bridge, the road will turn left. At this point, the town hall opera house is on your left in the downtown section.

From Watertown and points southwest ... take NYS Route 11 to Gouverneur. In the village of Gouverneur, turn right at the intersection of NYS Route 58. After you enter the town of Edwards, signs will indicate that Edwards and Russell are to the left. Take this left and you will enter the village. After you pass a gas station and cross a bridge, the road will turn left. At this point, the town hall opera house is on your left in the downtown section.

From Star Lake and points east ... take NYS Route 3 about ten miles west of Star Lake to the junction of NYS Route 58. Take a right and proceed to Edwards. As you come in to Edwards, signs will indicate that Edwards and Russell are to the right. Take this right. This road will end at a "T". The town hall opera house will be directly across the street from you at this "T".

From Harrisville and points south ... take NYS Route 3 to Harrisville. Just east of the village, turn left onto NYS Route 812. At the intersection of NYS Route 58, turn right. After you enter the town of Edwards, signs will indicate that Edwards and Russell are to the left. Take this left and you will enter the village. After you pass a gas station and cross a bridge, the road will turn left. At this point, the town hall opera house is on your left in the downtown section.
